AUGUST GOALS


I have not been awesome about being disciplined since my surgery in April and throughout recovery. I thrive on schedules and routine so I promised myself that once the ease of a laid back summer passed that I would be back to my routined self! I love setting a few goals for myself to keep me on track and encourage me to develop habits that will stick. Here are a few things I am aiming to achieve this month!

  1. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I am following the Faster Way to Fat Loss { FWTFL } and follow the workout plan of HIIT, weight training and active recovery days. This has been my favorite workout outlet but I haven’t been in the swing of the schedule of it since my surgery. My goal is to ease in and at least get in 30 minutes of activity a day!

  2. Tracking Macros. Another FWTFL component is tracking carbs, fat, protein and hitting the percentages created each day. I wouldn’t say I fell off the wagon on eating this summer but I have fallen off tracking and when I don’t track I realize I am never eating enough. Basically, tracking keeps me much more mindful of what exactly I am eating and if it is going to lead to me hitting my macro goal that day. Shifting my mindset this way helps keep me in line to make better choices!

  3. Alcohol only on Saturdays. SO many social gatherings this summer and way too much social drinking. I never feel my best the day after drinking and I am working on being more in tune with my body and working to become my best self both mentally and physically. I don’t want to feel restricted but I also realize that I want alcohol to be more of a fun treat, not something that just goes along with any regular day.

  4. Quiet time in the morning/Personal development. I am a much happier person when I get up early and spend intentional time reading my devotion, having a quiet cup of coffee and reflecting on the day and my heart. I think its super important to carve out YOU time before the busyness of the day takes over. I also want to make sure I am reading or listening to something that daily that is going to help me in any one of my businesses. I always feel more creative & productive after I do this task and it’s always the refresher and push I need to be the best I can be!
